I call myself a doer, a designer, and an overall OK human being. 👌🏼
What my day job title means
I do UX (and occasional art direction) for brands as part of Havas Ortega, the Manila office of the French advertising network agency. Day in and day out, I spend time writing design strategies, sketching up wireframes, crafting prototypes and style guides for front-end developers, and helping out in winning new business along the way.
What I really do
I’d like to think that the work I do in the context of advertising informs the work I do outside of the industry.
I wear multiple hats when I do communication design projects for MSMEs, NGOs, and NPOs. I enjoy it when meaningful organizations are able to speak of what they stand for through different formats. I've collaborated with people to work on websites, videos, print, and program design projects. The variety of projects I get exposed to reminds me, time and time again, that *design* never comes strictly in a singular form for any project.
Other things, currently
I'm a HANDs! Project fellow for year 2017-2018, under the Japan Foundation - Asia Center, now in the process of working on a project covering disaster preparedness education for the Philippines.
I'm also one of the founding members of Collective Restoration, the non-profit arm of Makerspace Manila. Our mission is to deliver makerspaces and the maker mindset to underserved communities in the Philippines.
Formalities
A semblance of my CV can be found on LinkedIn, while a version that would look nice in a dossier is available upon request. Send me an email!
Me, elsewhere
Not very popular, but I'm honored to have shared a bit of myself in random (but pretty cool) spots like Creative Mornings’s community and Offscreen Magazine’s ‘A Day With...’ featurettes.
Get in touch
Just like most humans of today, I have an email address. Send over a greeting or something to hello@claudrod.me.
